Campus Life

Campus Life combines many of the support services that have a direct impact on the day-to-day and future lives of our students. The busy hub of our Division is located in the Atrium in University Place, although we also deliver services across the main campus and beyond.

Counselling Service

The service offers confidential help to staff and students with personal issues that affect their work, self-esteem, relationships, mood, mental health and general well-being via one-to-one consultations and group sessions.

Occupational Health Service

The University of Manchester Occupational Health Service provides confidential services to protect the health of staff and students at work, in training and in study and assesses and advises on fitness for work, training and study to ensure that health issues are effectively managed.

Student Support and Advice

The Student Support and Advice team offer support and advice on issues affecting student and campus life, with signposting and referral to more specialist services. If students aren't sure where to go, the Student Support and Advice team are a good place to start. The team are based in the Atrium on the first floor of University Place.

Disability Advisory and Support Service

The Disability Advisory and Support Service provides a confidential advice service to students and staff on issues related to disability and accessibility and organises alternative examination arrangements for students in need of additional support.

University of Manchester Assessment Centre (UMAC)

University of Manchester Assessment Centre (UMAC) is one of the UK’s largest and leading H.E. based Disabled Students’ Allowances Assessment Centres. It delivers an exceptional service to students across the UK, as well as those studying at the University of Manchester.
